fsport ships and inferno ships combined
how do i add ships and weapons to the inferno mod? i want to combine inferno ships with the fsport ships (fs1 and fs2).


and ill also want to add other created ships some day in the future...

go easy on me, im a newbi

The game can only handle around 135 ship table entries, it's not possible to combine FS1, FS2 and INF R1 into a single table file as there's too many ships (INF R1 alone is nearing the table limit)
I don't know if the Inferno builds which have a 250 ship limit could handle all the entries...

what about some time in the future? maybe some time down the road will it be possible?

The limit can't be raised as it breaks multiplayer. INF Builds have the increased limit, but sacrifice multiplayer for it. If the total ship count of the FS1, FS2 and INF R1 tables is less than 250, then an INF Build should be able to handle a combined table. If it's over that then your out of luck.

That was one of my initial ideas, the limit somewhat ended "limiting" my the idea.

The original idea was to make FS1, FS2 and Inferno campaings, adding the Ships in different TBMs being compatible in INF R1. Well, not only that, but be able to combine all the Ships.

Because of the Limit, I only added the AI Pyrgos and the Shivan Support Ship, and the Nephilim (3 SBanks), now there is only space for 1 more ship. Which with the mv_core.vp v3.6.8 Delta, is used by the Pegasus, because there is an error, someone forget to add the +no create Flag....Plus there is the unused 3D Earth.....

So...., yes, with the Update is at FULL, LIMIT reached.........

I don't know how that of adding "compatibility" would be true or if it would work, but I wanted to make a Mission with lot of different Ship, enough quantity that you start to forget some class....

As it is named, I make an Update, if I would have do that, I would ended doing something more like a MOD...........which wasn't my intention

There's also problems with the R1 Moloch using different weapons as default as the FS2 Moloch, you don't want to accidently make the R1 one revert or the FS2 one to have the newer weapons when playing those campaigns. If you just wanted the FS1 and FS2 ships in the INF universe that would be easier but still requires the bumped limit.

Slight OT:
A workaround to get R1 and S:AH combined in a standard build is to use modular tables. Split the main R1 table into stuff that used in chapter 1 and put the remaining stuff (like some SOC ships and the Ancients) in a TBM file. With S:AH the combined 3 tables would be over the limit, but with the new TBM disabled there's more of a chance to get S:AH to work. If you then want the Ancients back you disable the S:AH TBM and restore the R1 ships TBM file.
