Consistent CTD at the start of every campaign I've tried.  The error window that pops up is below.

This is a fresh install from the .rar file on this site, rev 20060125.  I've tried removing all features in the launcher; I still get the same error.

Did you install following the guide in my FAQ? If so try it with no mods rather than mediavps. Doing so will establish if the problem is something in the mediavps folder or something in data.

Which media VPs did you install anyway?

EDIT : You didn't decide that you no longer needed the standard media VPs and delete them did you?

Hmm, interesting.  With no mods loaded, the original FS2 campaign plays until the 3rd mission (where you warp in far from icini).  Then the following error comes up:

I have adveffects, core, effects, models, music, and textures in the mediavps folder.  And no, I haven't deleted any of the old vp's.

Sounds like you have an extra .tbl file somewhere. Have you installed any mods?
