I really like some of the tracks, and wouldn't mind having some of the voice clips too. Is there any way I can ...uh...get it? (Btw I have the 3-cd version of freespace)

Use VPView to open stu_fs2.vp and warble_fs2.vp (IIRC) and extract the sound files within.

There are better quality versions of some of the music in mv_music.vp. You won't have that unless you've checked out FS2_Open though (Which you should do immediately if you haven't already).

Yeah, I'm trying to get that massive torrent of it (my CD#2 has a crack in it, and while it does run every time I play I have these visions of the thing shattering) but it doesn't seem like anyone is seeding it; I've only gotten about 0.4% and when it actually is downloading it's only like 1kbs.

That's odd... I was seeding it almost 24/7 the first few days since I managed to finish the download, and since whenever I've been using the comp with only a few breaks to reboot once in a while because Dosbox has a few memory leaks and I can't stop playing Privateer since I got that working. You've probably tried at exactly the wrong times. I'll leave it running over the night for you so you though can hopefully get a fair chunk, maybe while I'm at work tomorrow too.

Anyway, there does seem to be a lot of people who just downloaded it and didn't seed beyond that. A bit unfortunate, but pretty common. I had hoped that once a lot of people had it, it wouldn't have hinge on just 2-3 people from here to keep it going all the time... but guess that hope was in vain.

Well, don't feel too bad, when I checked it again this evening it was going at like 20 kbs, now it's down to around 8 with some fluctuations so that probably clinches the problem as me starting the dl late at night.
