There have, at various times, been Freelancer and EvE clans, but they all died pretty quick deaths.

The HLPeople don't like each other enough to form clans. It's more a discussion forum than a real community. Warpstorm, on the other hand....

SGAM probably takes default HLP EVE clan. We're almost all members one way or another.

Don't know of any HLP or [other] in World of Warcraft though.
I occasionally venture into CS:S when I have a few drinks, never really bothered with clans though.
A HLP or [other] Halo2 clan would be cool though. I've been going clanless in Halo2 for a while now because I don't really play all that often. (due to Oceanic lag >..> )
But yeah, would at least be nice to pick a few gamer tags up.

i got bored with bf2, mainly thanks to d2xxl. i dont think i play anything else online much anymore. i could handel a mech pretty well, but mw4 has crappy joystick support and wont work with my sitek x52 wthout extensive profile editing. id play freespace more if muti worked better. the only clan i considered joining was for q3a awhile back, but i quickly became bored with the game.

Thing is, if we started a clain in a game, we might have to host a server too. Otherwise, all anyone'll ever know is the tag HLP. Happy Land Players? Hell's Legendary Pillagers? Of course we could say Hard Light Productions, that is assuming anyone asks, then there's the explanation of what it is.. on second thought, I think I'd just let them wonder.

Well, the Sectorgame Corp on Eve has quite a few familiar faces on it, and WS pretty much has the WoW angle covered. anyone deciding to try out Eve is always welcome to come along to Renyn and say hi

I take it FS and FS2 doesn't do well with clans just by the nature of the game.

More like the Nature of the people. I wouldn't say we dislike each other as such, it's just that we are like cats, solitary hunters.

There have been clans in the past, but until a solid, universally accepted multiplayer option is back into Freespace Open, I don't think you will see any more arising.
