Dont know if anyone here remembers me but I was once known as Guardian in the Freespace 2 universe, some may know me as TCS-Thorn as well.  I was in TCA until I discovered they were cheating in Squad Wars.  During my time in Freespace 2 I made some missions and one of them was actually validated by Volition and it was called Through The Iron Gate.  I have lost this file because of a harddrive crashes some time ago.  I was wondering if anyone had the map pack that was validated by Volition containing Through The Iron Gate.  If so please let me know, it feels like I have lost my child since I can no longer find this mission.

Thx

You may have however my name was Guardian or TCA-Guardian or TCS-Thorn :p
I played SquadWars and also had a website titled Bandits Incoming that was made for Squadwars.  The site basically reported on the squads in Squadwars.

I have been playing FS2 with friends the past week or so for the first time in years.  Just wish the old Lobby was still up :)

I do remember playing a game once with someone who had a xxx-Thorn username. Can't remember what the letters were but TCS does sound right :)

Hey Guardian, long as you're looking thru ancient history, remember this?

If a man walks in the desert and speaks where no woman can hear, is he still wrong?

WOW WOW WOW

That used to be the site of Bandits Incoming and then I changed it over to Ellis Station for a campaign for FS2.
Those are the original graphics I made for the site :p
If I remember correctly you came on board but then I had to leave and you took over.

I wish I still had all my files from the 95% completed campaign called Without Remorse

After you left it was Charger and me.  Charger worked on the mission scripts and I did the background, mission briefings and the website.  We tried to get FREDers but none of them stuck around very long.  The whole thing fell apart after 9/11 when Charger was re-assigned (he's in the US Navy) from Diego Garcia (where he had a lot of spare computer time) to an aircraft carrier (where he couldn't depend on even getting regular email).

Good seeing you back.  Gonna hang around for awhile?

still looking for help ?  :p

Most definately going to hang around for awhile.  Mostly to follow the SCP and to download a campaign here and there to play.
Me and some old Freespace 2 friends are starting to get back into this game.  It has been a long time and we are enjoying every minute of it.

Then welcome back. :D

Roanoke - over the years, I got 5 or 6 offers to help on the Ellis email account.  For the most part, I just told them that Ellis was defunct and pointed them to HLP.  A couple of times, I let the offerer's enthusiasm get me ready to start it up again but each time, the offerer disappeared.  It's gotten me a bit gun shy.  So, normally I'd just say "thanks but no thanks" (if that was an offer?).  Thinking about it now, tho, I really wouldn't mind starting it up again - provided there were several people looking to join.  I showed Karajorma the mission scripts a couple of years ago and we agreed that they were un-FREDable (and not all that good, anyway).  Starting it up would mean a near total re-write of the plot... Ellis was intended to be the first campaign in the "Ellis Universe", an 8-to-10 mission prolog, but it was basically good guys vs (well equiped) pirates.

As I said, if there's enough interest, I could start it up again.  Otherwise, I'm just gonna let it lie. ;)

They were unFREDable then. I don't remember enough about them to say if they are unFREDable now.

That said I'm not getting dragged in till I've finished MG at least :D

Chicken  :p

IIRC, they were un-FREDable because Charger concentrated on fleet actions, sometimes leaving Alpha 1 with nothing to do at all.  Like I said, the scripts would have to be re-done.
