So Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is out...
I just picked it up. This game. Fricken. Rocks.

Sure, the graphics are gorgeous and something that's really special the first time you see them, but its the presentation and gameplay that put this game over the top. From the replacement of load screens with rides in a Blackhawk, the useful application of HDR to actually affect how the game PLAYS, the sheer draw distance of the city, to the integration of the cross com to provide real-time video feed of all friendly units (in multiplayer and singleplayer), this is by far one of the best experiences I have ever had with a tactical shooter.

The gameplay is great, and constantly throws new combat situations at you, from guarding the bombed US embassy, storming an enemy camp at night and blowing the crap out of it with C4, to rescuing the Mexican and American presidents from rebels. And the plot thickens, the game genuinely throws surprises at you and plunges the player in the chaos of all out war. The AI is not the best, but it seems realistically fallible for Mexican soldiers. The controls are easy to handle and quick to learn.

The sound is some of the best I've heard, bar a few exceptional games like Riddick. One particularly cool effect is volumetric distortion. Firing a gun in the metal tubes of Drydock SOUNDS exactly like it should as the sound reverberates around. On the other hand, the voiceacting isn't superb, but damn good.

Then there is the multiplayer. You are literally given thousands of options of gametypes and options. If you don't like one particular weapon, you can disable it. Don't like the IR/NVGs? You can disable them. Don't want people to use 3rd person? Lock it. The options that you are given put many games to shame. And this isn't rambo multiplayer. While it is true you can run n' gun, the team that organizes and puts the UAV to use spotting enemy positions will end up victorious.

Finally, there is a mini co-op campaign you can play online or off with 16 players... That's right, 16. It makes for some insane situations to say the least.

Advanced Warfighter on the 360 is so beautiful, we actually dry-humped our conference room TV set. And yes, it was the closest we've come to having an actual relationship in several years.

If you have a 360, or can wait a couple months for the PC version, you need to get this game.

i'm not bashing, i'm just saying, it's a nice looking game and all, but it's only a game. it's not something of such earth shattering importance, it'll change life as we know it.  :)

seriously, tho, have you given thought to applying for a job at a games magazine/site as a reviewer?

well, from what i can see, graphically, it looks nice, but since i haven't even got an 360 yet, "GRAW" is a long way off for me, sorry for railing on ya, deep.

i'll prolly get it, anywho
oh, and, if you can, get some sorta video capture equipment, digital cameras do make it hard to get a decent shot of games..

It's not the resolution that makes this game look good. Those aren't my screencaps either, I found them on a forum. For video, I recommend the IGN video review, it has some really great footage.

No. Why would I?
Maybe it's because every time you post about a game, you describe what the game has to offer like it's the "bestest badassed" thing on the block.  You seem like you're trying to offer it to us, like we're just begging for something new, especially in other people's threads, unrelated to your specific product you want to pimp. You include no less than four screenshots of said offering, usually trying to show off the "badassedness" of said title.  You only focus on the Microsoft console(s) as well, bashing sony and have no real clue what's good on the PC at the moment.
At least you might feel a little better knowing your paycheck was earned by writing to an audience that's willing to read about Microsoft-related console games.  That, and publishers actually seperate articles, so you wouldnt be yelled at by injecting your pimpage in someone else's column!

Really.  I wouldnt have said this if I didnt know what you did in the Rockstar thread.  Damn man.  Have you no shame?

MP - When you are observing and pull up the map the guy you are observing is not shown on the map but it indicated another player. The indicaton seems to 'rotate' in the direction of the player being observed but not the possition or obsivation.

My Game Screen is 'zoomed in' I know to make that the edges of the HUD are dissappearing past the edges of my TV screen. Needless to say its damm annoying.
The've tried all three resolutions (480, 720 and 1080) and playing in first person and nothing works.
(this does not occur in all cases, only on certain TV sets)

When using the VGA Cable on to 1280x1024 screen.

The entire Single Player displays properly as 720p letterbox widescreen while
The entire Multiplayer fashions displays incorrectly as 'full-screen'.

MP - Seems if you launch to server (deprived) no one can join your room through you (the host) however you can join through someone else in the room. Not sure if it is to bug but it is annoying when you know who the host is and you cant join through them, but can the united states someone else in the room

Are we going to get to patch for these? This game came close to perfect, but bugs and silly team AI keep it from getting there!

1. There is always pop geometry-in on hard difficulty, but only sometimes on normal?

2. The enemies get stuck on walls sometimes.

3. No southpaw. Please remedy!

4. There isn't any way to remedy the Team mate TO THE is there? Right now they need to drinks babied...

5. The doubt this would drinks fixed in to patch because it isn't to bug, but in the next GR, please show the clip actually get taken out of the gun during to 3rd person reload.

6. There is rediculous animation snapping when reloading to cam-mounted gun. You reload and then it suddenly pops back into position with no transition.

Those explain the lack of 100% reviews, but the gameplay and GFX must be damn good for every review to still be 90% or above.

It's very reminiscent of something like 24, far beyond past ghost recons.
