I think I'm going to buy a Gamecube, actually............seems to make sense just to clean up the cheap current-gen stuff, I genuinely don't care about appearances nowadays.
I don't really care about the/graphics anyways, particularly not from a 50 second blurry press presentation. I wouldn't expect the Revolution to be (at least initially) as far behind as expected (in gfx terms), though, because it's reportedly using a very similar architecture to the Gamecube and thus should be a lot, lot easier & quicker to harness it's potential. It's the control system that interests me, though.
NB: I believe that footage originates from the Tokyo game show in September 2005, when the game (demo, really) was ran on modified Gamecube hardware (according to the Wikipedia). The
IGN page suggests the clip was pre-rendered (which is odd, becuase
another IGN page suggests it was a snippet of work-in-progress code).
