LoZ: Twilight Princess to use Revmote...
It would seem that Shigeru Miyamoto may have confirmed that the next Legend of Zelda game, Twilight Princess, quite possibly will take advantage of the Revolution's Revmote. All I can say to the prospect of that is; this should be interesting to say the least.

Hopefully, all shall be revealed at E3.

Not only that, but Miyamoto made sure to underscore that "almost everything" about Revolution will be revealed at E3 in May.

Hmmm, that allmost hints at a surprise early release.

What happened to the complete denial of such a feature?

It's true then. Twilight Princess is a launch title for the Revolution as a Gamecube game...

Cool.  That would imply the Revolution isn't too distant (as Zelda surely must be finished soon, it's been ongoing for that long).  Just as well, I can't find a cheap Gamecube anywhere.

They've advertised it as a Gamecube game since it was announced.
I think it's far more likely that it will be a Gamecube game, but since the Revolution will be reverse compatible with the Gamecube, they will probably make it sort of "dual platform". Playable on both, but you get added features for playing on the Revolution.
That way both people with a Gamecube and the Revolution can play it, but for the extra stuff, like using the remote Revolution controller and visual boosts, you'll need to play it on the Revolution.

They probably need to make it dual-platform, I guess, given their investment and the decline of Gamecube support in pretty much all of the major retailers.

It certainly sounds like something Nintendo would do..

That would be an intelligent move, at the least. Which is arguably evidence for it not happening, but hey.

You know what would be cool? If Nintendo released the Revolution controller for Gamecube. Even if it was compatible with only one or two custom-made games, it would give Gamecube owners a chance to experience it, and if it's really as good as Nintendo claims it would go a long way towards getting people on the Revolution bandwagon.

That's a horrible idea business-wise.

Why would nobody buy the Rev because they can play a total of one or two games with that peripheral on the GC? They'd probably make those hypothetical games "forward compatible" like Twilight Princess seems to be anyway.

"forward compatible"
That's a hell of a buzzword, I bet they'll be hyping up the very same phrase if they do this.

But why buy a whole controller for just one or two games? ..Although I guess it worked with the whole Game Boy Advance/GBA SP thing and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Zelda: Four Swords for GCN...

What's the point of taking your unique selling point, and then giving it to the now-obsolete predecessor?  It's not as if you can't get demo kiosks.

Re: LoZ: Twilight Princess to use Revmote...
Is this the same remote control looking controller that I've seen in the past?

IIRC there didn't seem to be much evidence of an analog controll, though I think there was a plug in stick or something that goes in a slot? (consumables FTW? =/ )
It seems a little weird, but I guess something new and original is good at least. :) (as long as they pull it off. :D )

The right side is the motion sensing bit, which would also seem to function nicely as a NES pad (not sure if it'd be any good for SNES, though), and the left is...obvious (think there's a kind of z-trigger under it, though, and it seems to use the rather excellent N64 analogue stick).  It's rather bonkers, really, but fascinating.  I think the console might support 'regular' controllers, either Gamecube ones or something totally new.
