Hi, I was wondering if anyone could explain how to use Lithunwrap or suggest another free program.
3.2 GHz P4
nVidia GeForce 7800
1 gig RAM

There's a beginners tutorial available if you go through the modding section of my FAQ. Look for the FreeSpace 2 Ship Creation Guide by IP Andrews.

I'm thinking I should do a tut for unwrapping......(now I know what I'm doing. Some of my Help! threads I posted from a couple of years ago are so noobish it's frickin' embarissing)  :D
