Guys:

I'm brand new here but I've been a 'Freespace' fan for a while; I am having some problems getting thru some mission 'chokepoints' (IE: Destroy all FOUR of Sathanas beam cannon & as many flak turrets as possible before she jumps; in the first FS you have to save your destroyer from HOL Kamikazes)---so I need a little help; can anyone direct me to some cheats? Especially if any of the 'lock on to the targetship/bomb/subsystem & press ___ to kill it' cheats exist;

you have to be a really bad pilot to need cheats

Or find an error from the deep, it sucks to have your progress in a campagin stalled because of a mission error. I know you didn't intend it that way, but that last message seems to be bordering on flaming, careful.

By the way, you only have to destroy two of the sathanas'es beam cannons, evreything else is optional (though reccomended)

that was the hardest part of the game for me too when I first played it back in 2002. (Yes i was a latecomer, and yes, there was NO SCP at the time) But it was really rewarding when you finally beat it.

For me I just found out a way to extract the mission from the main campaign, then just tweaked the health of the turrets, to favor me a little......

Then I also found out how to modify the .tbl's using notepad...

That's what I did for a while, Descenter. It was great having ML-16s (back in the day) that could take down Shivan shields in a single shot and destroy them with a second. It was a bit of a bother whenever I had a friendly fire incident, though...
