This is somewhat broad, but I don’t have much to start with; I’m sorry. Someone from Europe told me that if you were born in another country (even if it was on American Military Soil), international law states that you be legally required (allowed to acquire by international law) a duel citizenship with both America and the country you were born in.
My father was in the U.S. Army at the time America was guarding Western Germany while the Berlin wall was up. I was born in Nuremberg Germany, but was also born on the American Military base in that region. My mother told me that she felt really stupid at the time, because she could have gotten me a duel citizenship, but did not. I am very curious in this subject because I am really interested in fixing the mistakes my mother made in attempts to acquiring this duel citizenship. However, I do not have a clue, as to where I should start. I know from experience, that many of the people I work with in H.L.P are (if not just from Europe) are from Germany. I really need some incite (a shining light to light up my way so I know where I should go). Can someone please help me? Thank you.
