Last year, i kinda came after the climax excitement, i thought it was real for alittle bit. Not the end of the world tho. Lol. It was a good idea, but when forums and stuff actually stayed erased, it wasent as funny. They killed one of my good 3-5 page topics, cauze the backups were a ways back, and they had to use em.

What pissed them off was that after the joke the forums stayed deleted. It was quite a while before everything went back to normal.

Yes that did go completely out of hand.  It was planned in advance but some critical elements did not fall into place right away and thus the outage lasted longer than it should have.  An apology was offered and accepted by most if not all of the community.

I heard about these sort of pranks on HLP.  I didn't avoid it intentionally on the weekend, but I was not in town and did not have time to check the site. Actually that is pretty cool and funny

It's pretty funny as long as nothing gets permanently damaged Though I hear that's happened in the past, it certainly didn't this time. Besides, it even an official language on Google.
