Great Bands No One Seems to Have Heard Of...
Topic says it all. What, if any bands/musicians do you feel make great music, but have been undeservingly passed up by the gravy train they deserve? Spread the word and maybe people here can expand their musical experience...

Lemme just make a short list (plz post genre also):

Unida - Rock

Screaming Trees - Grunge-ish rock...

Kyuss - Rock

If you can't find something you like in more then 33062 tracks, there's something wrong with you. I have no music other then what's from there on my computer anymore.

I have a goodly number of tunes from them. All free and all pretty small.

Re: Great Bands No One Seems to Have Heard Of...
Rather debatable how many of these are applicable as unheard of, but Aberfeldy, Budapest, Geneva, The Veils, Delays and Reindeer Section spring to mind.  As do (to a lesser degree) Cathey Davey & Gomez.  Although some of these are markedly more famous in the Uk than outwith.

(that the first 3 are all place names is a genuine and somewhat amusing coincidence)

I don't like when the music I listen to becomes popular-- it makes me feel dirty.

So I can't tell anyone.

Steeleye Span and Silly Wizard come to mind, especially the latter. (British folk from twenty years ago.)

A lot of bands, a lot... but the three that spring to mind first are In Flames, Ill Nino and Megahertz, most listened-to.

I was going to mention In Flames, but the fact that Come Clarity went in the top 10 in basically every european country ruled that out.  Crawl Through Knives 4tw.

I hope thats a joke.
Doom metal? Black Metal? Iv never heard of either. Do you have a quick 'this is what it is' explination, no sound tracks plz.
I know Hard rock (Heavy distortion) and Death Metal (H.D. w\ screaming or yelling), but Black metal?

Underoath is a good band, not many know of. 7 Day Jesus is a good band, but its not death metal:P Its just hard rock. I know alot of good bands but, unheard of ones.. not so sure.

I've usually responded - If you don't know, you're probably better off not knowing, but this link should suffice: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_metal

Seriously, it's true, he is the vocalist. He actually played during his wedding. The site seems down ATM, but in his profile page (Den Bruno) it says "Preaching the Lord" or something.

ive been listening to bm for about 5 years now and i find issues with that article, though it does accurately discribe the sound and to some degree the themes of the genre. and the page seems to have a great number of its facts in dispute.
