We finally got it done. I strongly recommend the PDF+Print version, it's a better deal for you (we make less money, but I don't care).

We haven't "formally" announced it yet, with press releases, etc, but it's there, and folks have bought it. Now you can too :)

Here ends my p1mpage.

Wow, a pimp post that doesn't even say WHAT you're pimping.

Genius.

Wow, what a wonderful comment. Thanks!

Edited in the cover page for the lazy. I figured those who participated in the thread a few weeks ago might know what I was talking about, but I guess not.

Well dude, I bought your book. :)
Maybe you can buy yourself a six pack of water or something. :p

What else should I look at if I ever want to play this thing? :)

Offline Inquisitor

Heh, thanks!

Look for the d20 Modern core rulebook (d20 Future is handy, but you can probably live without it), or, post on the RPG forums (www.darkhorizons-rpg.com/forums ) and try to get into one of the IRC/OpenRPG based games that are starting to form. That's probably the easiest way to get into it.

Anyway, this looks awesome. :) I'll order this as soon as I get home tonight.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Interesting. It's a shame I can't read the setting before deciding whether to try it or not.

So far its a pretty fun read (with the pdf). The printed book should be easier to read through though.
I like reading this stuff if not just for the story and ideas. :)
Thanks 'quis, I might have to take a squizz at that d20 stuff too. :D

Setting seems to be a futuristic universe. Mankind has conquored the galaxy and has many technological / biotech advancements as well as commerce with other species.

Still reading through some of the stuff. So far pretty good and fun.

May I ask just how much you paid to avoid giving Wizards of the Coast your eternal soul and first born son in trade for license to use the d20 system? I find their many recent anti-customer actions quite entertaining, and wonder just how badly they decided to sodomize you in the name of "defending their rights" or whatever.

I'll probably buy this as soon as I have cash again, though.

Theoretically, at least, nothing.  Under the OGL, he shouldn't have had to pay to use it at all.  Given WotC's policies, though, it should be interesting to find out if they let this go unchallenged.

The d20 license is doable, you just have to follow the rules. Most licensing is like that. If you act like a real business, you get treated like one ;)

No money changes hands, but you have to do certain things if you want to use the d20 logo, if we had done OGL we wouldn't have had to do those things, but we also could not then claim "d20" which, whether the d20-haters like it or not, has a certain marketing advantage.

And giving away a PDF for free seems contrary to the whole "gee, we'd like to be able to pay the rent" goal of this. It's only 15 bucks and they take paypal ;)

The table of contents is up there, and if you had bought Lore, you coulda had the Lore d20 tabletop rules for free ;)

Help out a struggling Indie, you know you want to :)

Well I love the backgroud stories and stuff so far. Pretty darn cool.
Only thing I can fault it on so far might be that it needs more concept art. :p
You guys should make an art book for it. That would be awsome. :)

Offline Inquisitor

Art was the big bugaboo. Well, we have lots of art, just no good way to get it all in the book (the vagaries of print layout and deadlines). Next time around, more art, I promise ;)

Cool. The stories worked in with some kick arse sketches always gets me imagination firing along. :)
