Why do people love calling thread lockage? Do you have money on it or something?

I get irritated towards any comment along the lines of "awaits lockage", "awaits banning", "awaits admin action". FFS, its so stupid as well as brown nosing! >.<

Re: Hello, I am Random Opinionated Internet Person.
Sorry. Next time I'll just call it what it is with an overly long explaination that will take much longer to write and read than "this thread is fast on its way to being locked." As follows:

The thread started out on a bad note with Carl's frustration without explaination leading to people responding that didn't know how to (myself included). From this point, for some reason still unbeknownst to me, Nazis are mentioned, because Nazis don't have opinions or are afraid to or something I guess. Oh wait no, that's the people the Nazis are oppressing! Thus, becoming Nazis will help the situation in a way once again unbeknownst (I like that word, I hope it actually exists) to me. Afterwhich, decent (haha) men are being compared to Adolf Hitler of all people, and by "compared" I actually mean "posting pictures of people that everyone knows that have mustaches as if the pictures were actually relevant to something like the first post." I've seen threads with more relevance than this closed, hence my reasoning to point out that this thread's life is short, as fantastic as posting photos of men with mustaches are. Although now that this discussion has spawned (still far from the original point of the thread) it wouldn't surprise to see this thread around for awhile. If this happens, it would then be my fault, but maybe that was my ploy all along, to say something like "close this ridiculous mess of irrelevance" only to have it kept open out of spite. Brilliant I say! As brilliant as this thread (has gone)! :drevil:

Don't worry, next time I just won't post anything in the first place. Sorry to have offended. :) Okay, I'm done defending/apologizing.

You can point out why you think the thread is being locked all you want. That's not the point. The point is that it's just annoying when people start predicting that a thread is going to be closed-- especially when it's as amusing as this one.

Re: Hello, I am Random Opinionated Internet Person
The only times I've seen a thread locked is when the thread is talking about Vasudan-Terran breeding or when an admin/mod gets pissed of at somebody :nervous: .(haha... I don't know what I did that got him so pissed off.)

I refer you all to Maddox's Best Page In The Universe for how opinionated people should REALLY get their message across. :p

As for lockage? Meh. I think not.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Vasudan Terran breeding? How is that possible... The Vasudans have no visible exterior reproductive organs.  :headz:

Well if you read the entire post it will become apparent that I was indicating my annoyance with you explaining your prediction. So it's really not permission at all.

Yes but I'm not seeing how the sarcasm lines up with what I said. Sarcasm is an art, my son. You can't just **** around with it like a cheap hooker.
