Fox news personality, Tony Snow, to be the new "Mouth of Sauron"

Tony Snow, a not too insain but, solidly conservitive political talkshow host who had a TV show on Fox News untill he got a radio show on Fox News radio a few months ago has been apointed as the new press secritary for Bush, now I'm one of the people who is willing to defend Fox News, but this is just... what the ****!?

I feel sorry for him. He's a really nice, fair guy. His show is actually good, and he doesn't go into fits of screaming or shouting over anyone that disagrees with him (unlike "others").

he did seem like a nice enough fellow, but, think abour it a fox news corispondent is now the press secritary, Fox News is now almost OFFICALY the whitehouse's mouthpeice.

I was just reading a bit more on the story, and apparently Snow wanted a guarantee that he would be in the inner circle (to advise, policy, etc.) before taking the job. Considering his previous criticisms of the administration, it's understandable.

It's not so much that the political establishment has ceased to be impartial, honest or ethical, they were never those things, it's rather that they've stopped bothering to even be subtle about it. It's like when Bush nominated his personal attorney to the supreme court and then tried to tell people with a straight face that no, it's really not cronyism, honest.
