Wow. Extremely impressive. Sony will surely have a tough act to follow if they can't get the PS3 and some decent launch titles out before this.

Re: Halo 3 - for real...
My main compliant against Halo 2 was that it decreased the scale of Halo; the battles were smaller, the areas they took place in more confined. It appears they've corrected this...

*clears throat*

HOLY ****! I figured Halo 3 would look awesome, but not this cool. This reeks of 1337ness.

I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. Oh yeah. I believe I mentioned it already, but for emphasis, that entire (3 mile wide) crater is rendered mesh and the scene is globally lit.

I've looked around on the ilovebees website. Confusion was the only result.

It was all rather a letdown, really, from what i remember.  Effective, but ultimately with any good ARG type scenario the ending always dissapoints compared to your imgination, and IIRC this was basically a set of phone messages.

NB: watching that video; am i the only one who saw the end and thought 'engine'?

Not engine, an Ark to save the universe from the flood.

The Ark mythos involved moving above the flood, 'member?  Just a thought.

Re: Halo 3 - for real...
That is a good point, but I don't think the allegory is that literal.

Doesn't have to be literal in the sense of being an Ark, but it could do whatever it does by using engines to move to somewhere.  It's just a wild idea to twist expectations, anyways.

Re: Halo 3 - for real...
Hmm... after watching the trailer a few times, I noticed something. At the end, when those pilliars go up and the blue energy... stuff.... comes out, it looked kinda like the top of High Charity Does anyone else see this, or am I completely nuts and grasping at straws here?

OMG...

The Ark...  The Flood...

It's Genesis 6-9!

Ah, how they don't see the in-jokes.

Someday they'll figure it out... seriously they will. *keeps struggling to keep the laughter in*
