im new at this forum, but ive played freespace 1 back in 1998, and totally forgot about it.  Until i found out that freespace 2 came out in 1999 .. anyways .. i downloaded shiven complete installment pack .. and ran the setup... when i clicked on Freespace 2 launcher and clicked on play .. a error came up ..




can any body tell me what this is saying .. ???

It seems to me that you are trying to run retail FS2.exe with FS_Open launcher..

Try selecting some other exe.. With browse button in the launcher.

And....

Or more likely he's clicked on the Freespace2.exe or fs2.exe files instead of the launcher.exe file.
