Re: need help with firefox
Does Firefox load any other sites? Does it only happen when you start Firefox and when you use the homepage button or even if you type in the address? Does it work if you visit another site first and then type in the address of your homepage? If Firefox does not load any pages, try if any other browser does.

Re: need help with firefox
Are you networking the Laptop to the Desktop? Last time I had this problem, it seemed to be either the Network connection to the server or, on one odd occasion, McAfee being a pain.

i can load other pages, and the this has happened recently,  everything works fine in IE.

First things first:  www.opera.com

Secondly, does the site actually timeout or reset, or does it seem like a rendering error?  Either way, it could be your firefox settings, or perhaps a sudden incompatibility.  Care to share the URL if you dont mind?
