TOKYO May 25, 2006 (AP)— In a step toward linking a person's thoughts to machines, Japanese automaker Honda said it has developed a technology that uses brain signals to control a robot's very simple moves.

eh?  It's really a rather basic concept, you know.  Technically hard to implement, but the theory is pretty simple to understand.

You just know there's about 50 middle-aged Japanese scientist working around the clock in some underground lab to build themselves a Gundam. I can't say I blame them, they have to protect themselves from Godzilla somehow.

Gundams aren't profitable.  True they are huge and 'OMGZ! IS A GUNDAM!' but I don't think there are enough emo high-schoolers or newtypes to buy them...

On the other hand, as I said before... Doll sized robots + mind controller + combat + Japanese schoolgirls = ¥€$!
