That's a manifestation of the common "This Didn't Suck!" Syndrome. Same thing happens when you go back and watch old TMNT.

Hey, those movies were pretty damn good... well, the first one was good, the second one was lacking, and the third was just birds.

Re: whats the sickest movie youve seen?
What's "This didn't suck!" syndrome?

The new TMNT cartoon series looks much better than the old "Hero Turtles" one . Anyone ever see the Cadillacs and Dinosaurs cartoon that was awesome, and cancelled after one short run. Why does that happen so often to cool shows? The Battletech cartoon series was good too and was pretty ambitious for a kids' series. Oh yeah this is a sick movie thread.

Battlefield Earth did actually make me feel sick. Having to sit through the BRITS awards presented by Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood did seriously make me sick though. I felt so ill after that show. I think it had something to do with psychological abuse affecting my physical being. Like when you get hurt in the Matrix and you bleed in reality.

I didn't do a very good job of staying on topic there did I.

Ok. "Bad Taste". The prequel to Lord of the Rings. There you go.

To switch lanes here, how about movies that weren't what you would typically think of as an awesome movie, but they just rocked beyond belief? For example, Transformers: The Movie, or The Never-Ending Story, etc. Movie that, if you rewatch them decades down the line, you wonder whatever you were thinking when you first saw and liked them.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

[22nd?!?!?!] no way 2nd, I wouldnt have the energy patience or wallet to sustain 22 mini-spawn of moi.

Yeah, this is true, as long as one hasn't grown beyond cartoons in general. :)

Re: whats the sickest movie youve seen?
I'm rewatching Transformers The Movie now, and I just got stunned. Weird Al's Dare to be Stupid is one of the songs in the soundtrack!!

I had a problem with the transformer that was supposed to be a cassette player. Mainly that when transformed into said mode the cassette player was as big as Optimus Prime's truck.

Re: whats the sickest movie youve seen?
Is is just me or do most people associate the movie title "Water" with Deepa Mehta's movie?
I wonder if the Shivans eat chocolate? Or play FS2, for that matter.
