Honestly.

Most people know that the election was rigged.

Would the world really be better off with Kerry? Frankly, I want f***ing Gore in the White-house, like he should have been. Imagine how different the world would be; for one, Futurama would have never been cancelled!

that's not something to be proud of - it means you've **** upon the constitution to the point that you should be shot for treason but too few people have the balls to stand up for what america ACTUALLY stands for and instead sit silently when a Mt Everest of evidence builds up for the election having been stolen, the government is illegaly wiretapping it's citizens, etc etc

Oh, please. Get off your high horse. I agree with you on the fact that the American government is a corrupt mass, and it is likely more corrupt than we will ever want to know, but this is how the world works. There will never be a perfect government of any country that keeps its nose clean. I'd venture to say that true democracy began and died with the Greeks.

So big deal, it's just a piece of paper, who need laws when you've got power. And your just mad because we pulled it off before the Dems.

i do recall a similiar incident that happend in florida in the 2000 election that almost threw the election in favor of gore. had something to do people looking at exit poles and not bothering to vote because they thought it was too late

and btw wouldnt have bush still won, even without ohio?

As far as I remember, Gore got more votes, but due to a cock-up and widespread coverage by the news groups, Bush was claimed as the winner. After the cock-up was realised, the Supreme Court ruled that Bush keep the presidency. Anyway, they f***ed over that election too, preventing many from voting that would have likely turned the vote far towards Gore.

They initially said that Gore got more votes, but then after f***ing around in Florida, it was just too close to call. Of course, that didn't stop FOX News from calling the election in favour of Bush, which may have had an impact on the situation in the public's eye [which is what matters]. At the core of things, Bush shouldn't have been president in 2000, and it would seem 2004 either. Hooray for democracy!

It doesn't matter for two reasons:

1.) Ohio is the best example for the vote rigging that took place. Appearently it took place in several other states too; enough to swing the election to the other side.

2.) It's the principle of the thing. It's sad that the citizens of the US no longer care enough about their government to actually question such irregularities.

Even if they pulled it off, I doubt they would have done it on such a large scale.

I also wonder, is the US even going to have elections in 2008? I mean, considering how low the president's (and the Republican) approval ratings are. I do remember when they said the 2004 elections might be "postponed" because of a "terrorist threat".

It sickens me when GOPets run around and say "well you would have done it too!" all that you're doing is destroying the system. Destroying any attempt for those who want real conservatives for instance, you know the fiscally conservative small government ones? Then again I guess that the type of conservative like that is irrelevant.

November is going to be interesting. With approval ratings so low, it'll be interesting to see how they're going to try to keep the same people in Congress. I wouldn't be surprised if they've been escallating these schemes, and if it'll finally get blown open.

Mainly I'm waiting to hear this:
"Well, ermm Congress was evil especially letting those DAMN MEXICANS IN... and ermm the Republicans who I now think aren't being true conservatives(tm) are now evil... but... ermm... they were still good then!"

no bush would have lost without ohio - but ohio wasn't the only state with problems

in 2000: they found out gore actually should have won florida after they did a statewide recount "for the record", but only recounting the three counties he requested would have resulted in a loss - a lot of votes were improperly discounted and almost 100,000 people were illegally purged from the voter rolls for having names smiliar to that of a felon
