It's not the content of the game, it is the image of gamers and the US gaming industry being projected to the general public. Personally, I shouldn't give a damn, I'm in the UK, these new laws don't affect me, but using blatant lies and defamation in order to try and put controls on only video games (the movie rating systems is voluntary, always has been) I begin to hear the word 'persectution' knocking around my head.
And I didn't say I don't think violent media has an effect, but it should be debated using little tools like facts, and should be applied to all the media that these studies mentioned, which is TV, Film and Video games, not just to what is politically expedient at the time.
