Well I having some problems which this...

Well I have 4 files composing a single mission.

I try to use red-alert to keep ships hull and weapons, but is not working well,

From Mission 1 to 2, in M1 there is not alpha or beta just gamma (player), then I use red alert which key pressed alt-j, in Mission 2 (Red-alert and scramble in mission specs), There is Alpha and Beta, but red-alert thake them as dead, and player (gamma 1) the Hull% is saved, but apear which not weapons... no laser, not missiles.

Anyway, the idea is I need to use red-alert for M1a to M1, M1 to M1b and M1b to M1c. Is posible that?

Hmmmm. Did you make certain that Alpha, Beta and Gamma appear in the same order in the Custom Wing Names option from mission specs? Cause I can see that causing you problems otherwise.

Im not sure, but I make 2 test missions which red-alert, just 4 ulys in Alpha wing in the first, the mission sent to red-alert, load Mission 2(again, Red-alert in mission specs), the mission 2 have a fenris and the same ulys in Alpha wing, and its works, both % and weapons are saved... so, the problem must be the Wings.

EDIT: damn, now I have add Alpha and Beta wings to mission 1 to check if works, now the game crash when loading mission 2, and afer that all is hiper bugus, For exsample, si you try to load Mission 2, you will apear in the default one, uly. Second If you try to restart the campaing to play mission 1,  you will apear again, in a Uly which default weapons!

(Im using the No Briefing and no Debriefing in Mission 2, that could be the problem?)

I'm sure I've heard that you shouldn't use no briefing with red-alert before but I can't say how accurate the warning was. Turn it on and see what happens.

Very, that is what causing all problems.


I still wondering why if Alpha, beta or Gamma is not on Mission 1 but yes on Mission 2 they apear dead... That dont happen which Delta, Epsilon...

ehm, I can only use Red Alert for only one mission?

The ideaa is this, M1a send red alert to M1, M1 send Red-alert to M1b, and M1b send red-alert to M1c...

By now, Red-alert is only working from m1a to M1.

You should be able to use red alerts in multiple missions. I've never heard anything contrary to that.

What wings have you got defined in the player starting wings option in mission specs?

Really is only one mission, but takes place in diferent places, that is why I need the red alert, Mission objectives and Debrief is a great trouble...

The payer recibes the briefing and launch to space (M1A), then, their jump to scort a convoy troght a blockade (M1), then their jump in the node (the player has to be docked which a Transport for that, but Red-alert is activated anyway), then pass thoght the blockade in the other side of the node(M1B), jump, and finally reach their destination :P (M1C) ( I have a talent for complicate things :P).

I still no know why I choose to use Gamma wing for player... Anyway, Alpha, Beta and Gamma are present in M1A, in M1 (Alpha, beta, gamma, Delta, Epsilon), M1B (Gamma), M1C (Gamma)... You recomend me to put then in M1B and C which order of jump out which not jump effect?, this will allow to keep the correct order.

*Gamma only have one Ship, the Player.

nothing, in M1B and C uses the % and load who i grave them in FRED, its like the Red-alert has never there.

Are you testing them via a campaign, or singly in the missions thing?

Because if the latter, then they will load up what you did in FRED.

But the problem apears to be, If you already are in a red-alert mission, THAT red-alert mission cant red-alert to a next mission.

Is the order you have Alpha, Beta and Gamma in the same in both missions? Cause if you have Gamma, Beta, Alpha in one mission and Alpha, Beta, Gamma in the other I can see that causing you problems.

In all four missons... I also try to keep the initial order, Alpha, Beta, Gamma in all mission, but happens the same.

Well, which the 17th Debug Fred, I cant, Fred crash afer get the first error, in M1 and M1c is a docking error (because I using a modifid Choronos wh have 3 docking points (instead of 2).

Only M1A opens (because their dont have that Choronos).

In M1B something happends.... (maybe because, the player enters the mission docked which a choronos?)
