Well, in my infinite wisdom i managed to pour around... quarter of a litre of coke on my keyboard. what should i do? i'm writing this on a spare keyboard i got, on which the letter T doesnt work too well. i have to press it 5 times harder than other keys so i'll be using D instead...


should i jusd wash dhe  keyboard wid wader or? dis isnd a joke.

Toss it out and get a new one! Its not worth the trouble. On the other hand tou could try and clean it but i dont think you will have too much succes.

Oh and in the future keep a plastic something over it.

im nod joking. de keyboard is rader good, and id has some prodecdion, so noding geds do de sduff down, behind de plasdic.

any sort of liquid = bad

i spilt about a tablespoon or so of chicken noodle stuff on my old KB, i managed to kill the keypad, the enter key, a few others.

a new KB is a must.

in my experience, there's no way to fix it, there's a thin sheet of printed plastic with the circuit of the keyboard's workings on it, liquid gets on that, it's dead, trust me on that.

note, i tried using my old dead KB after 6 months (ample time to dry off) still dead.

of course, i may be wrong

Keyboards can recover from water fairly well, but any other liquid usually beats it. You don't have anything to lose so clean the keyboard with water and let it dry overnight and then see if it still works. If not, basic keyboards don't luckily cost much.

Once I did something similar.

Had to take off all of the buttons and clean them.
After that it should be fine. Hell, after taking off all that dirt and cleaning it, it was even better.

i've purged all de buddons and drown id in de badhdub and pured reladively hod wader i was acdually amazed how fasd id came down, i expecded id do be alod more difficuld.

i already wrote all the key positions, but thanks anyway

(also, take note that i'm not using a keyboard with american simbols or anything, tis got croatian simbols and some letter of the alphabet that english doesnt have.


and i repaired the t key on this one with a bit of pokeage of the foil with the buttons...
