These are zips of of screenshots that I have taken and compiled into RARs of about 100 to 125 screenshots each. Basicly what I do is, while I'm playing, I take lots of (good hopefully :/) screenshots. When I get 150 or so, I go through it and take out all the crap ones. Then I dump it into a RAR and post it up here for you. So far there are only two, but there will be more. It does take a while, so I will just bump this thread each time a new one comes out, instead of making an entirly new thread.

Hey, since PNGs are worse, what do you guys like more BMPs or TGAs? They are the same size.

Why are PNGs worse?  They shouldn't be, unless you somehow pick really lossy settings or something...  JPGs are worse, might you be mixing it up with those?

PNGs are uncompressable in ZIPs and RARs. Or at least they were when I tried. 86mb for pack 2 with RAR'd up PNGs, but 60 for TGAs. JPEGs are my moral enemy.

now GIFs are worse.

download irfanview and when you save the images as PNG, set the compression to around 7 or 8. that'll get the sizes down.

PNGS - OMFG quality compression
TGA - OMFG quality compression
JPG - coo quality compression
GIF - ewwww quality
BMP - full quality, uncompressed, OMFG size

The reason that PNGs, TGA, and JPG don't compress as well as .bmp is because they're compressed already. So switching to a different format because it compresses better in a zip is silly, the compressed file formats themselves should be able to provide better compression ratios than a ZIP because the algorithms are optimized for imagery.

I think its the code, the DL should start right after you have entered it.

Edit: Right, I've now dl'ed the packs.. lots of shots, some are pretty good, not too many displaying inconprehensible blobs of textures floating in the space (with explosions)
The only thing is that the DL is rather big, I think packing them as JPGs would make this a bit more popular..

Here are the ones I found most appealing in each pack (there are 2..3 pics on par in each pack, but somehow I chose these):
