i am stuck on the mission The Enemy of my Enemy, the Vigiliant escapes i destroy all shivans figthers and bombers except for virgo wing but i can't procced. Everytime i warp out i keep getting the "you did not have permission to jump" debreifing and it won't let me go to the next mission. I have complete the level 17 times!!!! (i counted) and i completed the mission goals every time and even when it gives the option to skip to the next level it won't, it just reloads the same level every time so please help!!!

i was going to have a bash at editing the mission but i then realized that the events aren't in order so i didn't want to tamper with them incase i crash the mission.

I'm going to quote what I found out, posted in the Derelict thread.

There seems to be some issue with the SEXPs going off for the return to base message.

Criteria is is Zodiac leaves/destroyed(bomber wing) AND Cancer(fighter wing) leaves/destroyed and Vigilent has departed. When that happens, there's a send message to return to base. However that dosn't link into anything.

EDIT once again: That SEXP however dosn't DO anything.

There are two other events, identical ones, that go 'when key pressed(alt-j) happens, do nothing'.

I'm not a FREDer, so I'm not sure how to fix.

Now for debriefing information:
A sucessful mission is when the Return to Base Criteria is (not?) 0, but in the event window, I see nothing related to that.
I'll skip the Vigilent dead status.
AWOL is when both Return to base is 0 and Mission failure is(not?) 0.

Just chiming in that I'm also running into this during my runthrough - if a direct solution presents itself, I would certainly be most interested.

I suppose you could always extract the campaign file (FSC exentsion) and just edit the part of the chain which concerns the troublesome mission...skip it entirely if needed

I'd prefer actully fixing the bug, except I'm not sure how to go around doing so. I can extract information from FRED, I just have no idea how to edit stuff properly.

hey iam stuck 2 on that same mission i do everything i even ran it with cheats and done everything!!! and still dosent tell me to go to base, any1 know how to get past this.

it might but i have heard ppl finishing it so there must be something iam doing wrong and also i found a cargo container in the middle of nowhere and i cant target it, maybe this has some significance? some1 can tell me anything about it plz

Interesting... I just played through that mission and had no problems at all.

What build of FSOpen are you using, crucial soul?

There was a FSO bug that caused that (Read through main Derelict thread). PLEASE be sure you are using 3.6.9. RC6.
