I'm going to make a campaign for Freespace 2 . It's called "The 3rd Shivan Invasion" and it tells about the events 50 years after the battle of Capella.

Beware though...Many people have tried to start up campaigns such as this and they rarely happen. You might want to look around and add any talents you have to the many that are in progress.

Above fifty years after the battle of Capella the emperor of Vasuda Prime, Nebiros, died murdered by unknown political enemy. His son, Xenes, is accusing the GTVA of killing his father and starts the rebellion. He's creating new, independent country - New Vasudan Empire. After one year, when the campaign's starting, Nathaniel Hawk, famous Terran captain from Sol system (GTVA built the knossos in Delta Seprentis 30 years before the campaign) started next rebellion - Earth Aliance. When the GTVA's fighting with two enemies, the Shivans are attacking the Ross 128. The greatest conflict in the history of galaxy is starting... - this is the plot of my new campaign making for Inferno R2 MOD. I'll finish making the campaign propably in August or September.
The features of the campaign:
1. New ships (from Inferno R2)
2. New weapons (from Inferno R2 and makken by me, too)
3. The character of pilots.
4. Non-combatant, interesting plot
5. Start from destroyer or carrier

Now, I'm making the campaign in Polish version, but in the future, I will make it in English version.

If you're making it in Polish, it's not going to have a very wide audience here, i'm afraid.

Another thing is that Inferno R2 isn't going to be released anytime soon, so don't plan on it being available in September or anything http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,40604.0/topicseen.html

Regarding the english audience; Why not do the campaign in English first? That way you can get a much wider audience here. Of course, the desicision is totally yours, but it's a thought

I'm making The 3rd Shivan Invasion promarily for polish Freespace players, so first it will be in Polish version. I don't know English very well, but my friends from www.plato.freespace.pl (the centre of Polish Freespace projects) will help me to make the English version of campaign and we will finish the English version in December or January.

I don't think it's fair to criticise Captain 'Petarch' for wanting to make the campaign in his own language first. Frankly, I'd prefer he wrote it in Polish and then allowed someone more fluent in the language to translate it, rather than trying to write it in English first and filling it with spelling and grammar mistakes and awkward dialogue.

Not to mention, if he's making a campaign simply for fan recognition then he's doing it for the wrong reason.

It's only the hundredth time someone has attempted to make this sort of campaign.  Quite easy to think you're the first person to think of it.

That is silly. If you make it in Polish, it will end up just like Revenge Final Conflict did (being in a different language and not being translated into English for years). Also, English is a much more common language in the world than Polish. Isn't Poland a tiny country in Europe and the only country that speaks Polish while big countries like Australia, America, Canada, and a lot of Europe speak English along with some other countries being multi-lingual and speak English too? Do you want a lot of fans? When you say it is for Polish players, that sounds a little racist. If you want many fans, then it is best to make it in English first because I assume that most Freespace players in the world and on this board speak English. I honestly just don't see the logic of making it in Polish and it wouldn't be fair for most of the people on this board . A campaign that is about the third coming of the Shivans and has many Shivan mods sounds fun and should be in English so most of us can enjoy it.

Give the guy a break; he's got every bloody right to write in whatever language he wants to, especially if it's his native language. 

God, half the stuff I write is full of vague Scots pop-culture references, anyways, so we've all got some form of cultural difference regardless of shared language.
