In general they are racist, but that doesn't mean all of them are, just like most Americans are stupid, most Europeans are full of themselves, and most Aussie's are rednecks, the thing is most generalizations about people get skewed, just like all of the ones above already are, and then people start substituting most with all. Some categorization is necessary, but you can't just classify everyone in an area like that. And I'm not saying a lot of people in the South aren't fundi-zombies, but in the end, you need to remember that there are human beings down there... somewhere.

Oh please, it was just a bit of harmless fun. Nobody in their right mind actually thinks a stereotype genuinely portrays the tenets of an entire population. Sure, there are stereotypes that are close to ringing true, like that Brits survive on Tea and Tea alone [c'mon, you've got water-boilers and tea-makers in your Main Battle-Tanks for chrissakes!], but usually they're modelled after only a small niche of a given people. It's just an easy way to take the piss out of a general area, and i'll thank you to refrain from insulting our intelligence by giving us the whole 'stereotypes don't represent everyone, y'know' speech.

The appropriate stereotype for us Brits is that we complain about damn near anything but we'll put up with it anyway.

There are considerable differences between pretty much everyone.  It's probably just a bit more obvious because for the rest of europe, English is a second language (which in itself shows the patheticness of British foreign language teaching) which thus means theres (I would imagine) a bit more standardized 'expression' and perhaps a wee bit of obfuscation of those cultural differences as a result.  I think.

I was just saying the brits,er english... whatever term you want that would apply to the lot of you, have always stood out more from the rest of europe, IMO. you seem... less  socalistic, less politicaly corect. sort of like, and try not to take this as an insult, half way between the US and the rest of europe.
