Well, this is interesting.
It's late, and I can't sleep. So, what do I do? I start poking around youtube, naturally. Anyways, I was just searching for random videos on there and decided to see what Freespace would turn up on there. And, well, look what I found. I've never seen it before, and it gave me quite the chuckle.

That's the Headz video from the Silent Threat CD. I've had it and the two other FS related cutscenes up on my FAQ's download page for over a year now :)

Please tell me we have one.

HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE SEEN THAT YET?! Have you been completely cut off from civilization for the past... 6-7 years?

Re: Well, this is interesting.
Well, I never poked around my ST disc before it got lost or thrown away or whatever the hell happened to it, and to be honest I have never read your FAQ kara. And, I guess I am a new member, well 'new' enough to have never seen this before. Still, pretty funny.

It's easy enough to miss if you've never wondered where the Headz term comes from :)

****, it took me about 4 years (till Kara posted the ST videos on a thread somewhere) to see it, myself.

Actually, I recently saw this vid on youtube for the first time. There was a picture of it in the FS1 credits.

Anyone wonder why headz is written in english instead of vasudan?

Re: Well, this is interesting.
The Vasudan alphabet doesn't have the letter "s."  They have to use "z."  So, in a way, I guess "Headz" is Vasudan for "Heads."   :drevil:

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

I suppose the box and the writing on it came from their supplier. Who most likely is, an earthling. Ofcourse the entry "heads" is a bit odd in any clerical or other book keeping documents, so he cleverly altered to word to get his stuff moving under the watchful eyes of earth authorities....

Re: Well, this is interesting.
Actually, I kind of like the cutscenes being on youtube myself.

*spends some time watching*
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Re: Well, this is interesting.
I think it's from the old Descent Network site. It was among the renders I had collected from there years ago.
