Hello again fellow Freespacers

Well as I said on the other topic, I am slowly beginning to get all my work back. But now I have a challenge for everyone.

I am looking for a title sequence for the start of the TV series i am writing. Who has any ideas, images, videos, maybe even a title sequence you have already made. Scripts will be available on a website I am dedicating to this cause very soon

nope? ok, what about one similar to the end of the collosus cutscene where it shows the Fleet moving out, with a dialogue/monologue bringing viewers up to speed with flashes of combat etc drama and plot from the main series. I dunno what sort of content you have envisioned but you get the basic (every sci fi show does this) sort of thing..

Basically, content wise it will be battle orientated, so images of fights would work

(I was looking for the FS2 ending when I found that, the bit with the demon comeing out of the nebula is the part that made me say 'wow' even though I can't understand a word they'r saying)

I hate to ask this kinda question, but its kinda necessary... what's the premise... timeline?  T-V War, Great War, Reconstruction, FS2, post-FS2?  Would be useful to know for both this and the character thread.

How exactly would you write an opening sequence for a TV series? From what I've seen, it's just a bunch of flashes of scenes from the show or main characters. Where's the writing?

i don't think its "written" so much as "designed".  it basically has to give out the key information of cast and what sorta stuff to expect (Ie: picture of RDA, then RDA blasting some go'auld(did i spell that right?) away with a big gun, then a explosion/cool ship shot/etc).  basically a mini-intro of sorts...some also go the route of explaining the premise...which i always find heavy handed, but neccessary sometimes.  so key is being effective at relating the tone of the show by the opening sequence...like SG1 clearly is an action oriented show, BSG is more dramtic, while the family guy is whimiscal and fun...

this is what years of tv viewership has taught me...filmschool fails to match that...

Ok, I have started the TV series script about 3/4 of the way through the T-V War. This will enable viewers to come up to speed with what has happened and what is happening at present. We can then bring in the Shivans and expand the storyline from there

The First series (Which I have almost completed) is based on this war, but there are random attacks from the shivans (Which no-one will know about till series 2). That will hopefully keep the people watching to see what this mysterious threat is!!!

I hope this helps with the title creation/character creation

Wait...FS2 as a TV show...Which network would this air on when it's done?  Or would it be a stream over the internet thing?  What are you going to do with the script when it's 100% done?  How will you handle Alpha 1, since he has no personality in-game?

It'd be cool for the title sequence to feature the Main character in a close up in the cockpit then show his Perseus shooting down a wing of Maras.
Or if we're talking Fs1 era, swap them out with a Valk and a wing of Dragons.
