one thing theese thieves like to do is once theyve stolen a bike, they find a walmart, kmart, or in my case fred meyer that carries that model, and return it to the store, usually pulling the chain off. they claim its defective. its intresting to process a bike that i know was stolen, the first thing is you notice nothing is really wrong. its maybe a little dirty ($10 clean and adjust fee), the loose chain or bent break ($15 each), the name scratched in the side ($15 paint retouch). after ive made 40 bucks, i tell one of the managers, hey, i think this bike was stolen. usually they say, "who cares wel restock it anyway". i dont mind theives they provide so many jobs, the police, security people, camera system installers, people who design inventory control systems. if people decided to stop stealing, so many people would be out of work.
