This looks like a cool idea, an extension of the quad SLI concept, although I bet the cards would then tear 8x as fast.
Maybe that's not so important in 3D modeling programs.
It might actually not be that great for games though, since the Quadros generally have very low memory speeds compared to the equivalent Geforce cards.
they arent made for playing games OR rendering games, quadros were originally made with superior OpenGL speeds compared to gamer cards, to make modelling as pleasing to low end 3D studios. thats my theory at least

now, with this... well, it brings movie rendering to small 3D studios. it costs.. what, from $17k onwards? full fledged software like maya will cost more than that in some of its iterations. or am i confusing it with houdini?
anyways, this thingie, paired with nvidia's gelato would be a killer tho
