Re: I was reading the old VBB topics...
Is there any archive of the old Squadwar forum? It would be great to read the crap in there again. Most of the action at the VBB took place in there, but it was removed around a year before the rest of the BB and doesn't exist in the webarchive backup.

I think he actually used to be JK47, who IIRC was there when I registered back in '99.

I remember HFB. I remember the VBBQ.

[And we still have our Dreadnought. --TechDescenter]
[There's going to be a BBQ. Fire up the main gun. --MercDescenter]
[Reactors to 40%. All weapons online. Main gun charging. --FSDescenter]

I also remember the time the VBB got invaded.

[Have we still got the DFGoJ? --MercDescenter]
[It's around here somewhere. --EvilDescenter]

I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta

HFB was hilarious. He always used to say "Yap" instead "Yes" and alternated between having completely pointless conversations with others (with weird spelling errors that nobody else would make) and bumping random old threads in groups of four or five at a time, during the four days it took Volition to ban him.

With the exception of the thread-bumpage, sounds like a troll we recently had at another forum.
