Red Alert without campaign
My FA mission is a red alert mission, where the player has multiple friendly ships. Can I make a red alert mission work without linking it to the previous one? Even if all ships are still at 100% or something silly (since there is no data from the preivious mission, I can only assume this would happen) can I at least get the red alert breifing and stuff to work? And when the campaign is put together, will the default player loadout change to what they had the last mission? I finally have some time to sit down and do some FREDing, but I need to get past this first, and I really have no idea what to do. Thanks.

Setting up the second half of a red alert is pretty easy. All you have to do is give the ships the same names as in the previous missions and tick the red alert box in mission specs. The game should take care of everything else for you.

Testing in the flight sim will use the values that you set everything to so you may wish to reduce the carried over player from 100% when testing. Bump them back up when you're finished though.
