actualy the Hecate looks a lor meaner then it actualy is. it is a wonderfull looking ship toghether with the orion and the Hatsheepsuit!

But I must say nothing says terran pride and terran technological might better the the Orion. I mean that thing even after what 50 or so years still has the abilaty to eat distroyers for breakfast take a second course of corvettes and for desert some cruisers.

Also the Ravana looks rather ugly but beautiful because it is an alien ship which well inspires fear most of all.

Errr... No. The only destroyer I can remember an Orion defeating is a Hades (The Hades got shot once and it got disabled. After a while it got killed easily, with the Orion at 80%).  And the Typhon loses in FS1, but then again so does the Lucifer at the right angles. And an Orion from 50 years ago probably had ML-16's on its big turrets and what, Disruptors on its normal guns. The Orion has probably been retrofitted a hundred times, and only its frame was still used. But anyway, the Orion IS the best Terran destroyer.

The only ship I honestly consider *ugly* is the Boanerges (sp?)  The angles, the textures, it's just...    (My opinion, of course)

And I think the Collossus resembled a baseball bat/shotgun too much.

The only reason an orion could beat the hades is because the hades is weak in fs2.  They took away half its hitpoints and gave it less firepower than an orion I mean come on.
That said Orion and hades(fs1 version with shivan super lasers and 800000hp) are my favorite ships.

I backported mods because at the time i didn't have freespace 2 and I wanted to enjoy some of the ships and mods of fs2 even though I didn't have it.
