How can i get name plates for Ea omega  :

Go to your TBP installation directory. Go to data\documentation. There should be a file called nameplates.rtf which explains how to use texture replacement.

As for the nameplates... You have to make the textures yourself. It's not difficult. And after a while you start to plan about adding nameplates to Hyperions, Novas etc

Just place the textures in data\maps folder. (Oh ****, was it maps or textures? I'm at school so I can't check it).

The .vp files are where all game files are stored. You can open it with a vp viewing program wich are plenty abou, search the forums to get info on them. But the game first check the data folder and should it find what it's looking for it doesn't even look in to the .vp.
Again, the search button will reveal previous discussions about this to you.
