Programmer Testifies Under Oath of Creating a Vote Fraud Program for Florida
Video: http://alternet.org/blogs/video/40755/
PDF: http://www.buzzflash.com/alerts/04/12/images/CC_Affidavit_120604.pdf

Edit: Apparently this is pretty old (from 2004), but I never saw any media coverage of it. Still pretty intriguing/scary.

Do you ever wonder why it didn't see any media coverage?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

This doesn't suprise me at all.  A few months prior to the 2004 election, Bush sent 6 e-voting machines (there are 3 types, 2 of each) to the NSA for "security validation."  The NSA found multiple ways to break into the machines and alter the election results.  Methods included swapping out the flash drives they used to ones containing bogus election data, outright hacking, etc.

The movie is probably the result of the above "research."

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

Bumper stickers at my college:
"Republicans for Voldemort!"
"Frodo failed.  Bush got the Ring."

I believe it was exasperation at a country seemingly rampant with political dirty tricks, corruption and inequality attempting to dictat the policies of other countries with a holier-than-thou attitude towards even free, democratic nations.

If vote fraud is the case, then no, not so much.

Seems like anyone from any nation is capable of hating America, but never looking in on their own country.

Or you could view it as a commentary on the tacit acceptance of it by a population, the majority  of whom should be enraged by such shenanigans.

Since when are there other free nations? I thought the world hated us because of our freedom. Doesn't "America" mean "freedom" in ancient Grecian or something?

You're kidding, right? Most of the country is outraged by voter fraud -- the Republicans accuse the Democrats, and the Democrats accuse the Republicans. Everyone pisses equally at everyone else that their candidate had fraudulent votes aiding their campaign. Most people aren't pissy about it anymore due to the upcoming elections, but they sure will be afterwards.

Yeah, because it's not as if we have elections every two years to give the people a chance to remove the politicians. That would just be too easy a solution, you know?

You could have elections every day and it wouldn't matter if they are fixed :p

Yeah. Those democrats. Rigging voting machines so that they lose elections. They're clever bastards, no mistake.
