Re: Looking for Firefly/Serenity stuff...
Meh, my old waxcoat looks quite like it, if you'd tear of the shoulder flap, cut some holes in place of the push buttons, and kind of rough it up (more then I've done with normal use already). Cost about 90 quid in a little Scottish town called Glencoe, but coats like it are avaiable from 10 quid upwards in just about any outdoor/farmers store in the UK. (Good ones are a whole different story altogether, but if you're going to rough it up, you want something cheap.)

Re: Looking for Firefly/Serenity stuff...
Back to Firefly... Cotton, not leather, but a decent price ($60). Not a Firefly replica though, just a similar style of coat (duster, actually).

For a more genuine replica, however: http://www.abbyshot.com/products/ps-firefly-browncoat.php - only $400-500 USD.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. Re: Looking for Firefly/Serenity stuff...
When my Wife (Girlfriend at the time) and I went to see "Revenge Of The Sith" in theaters, there was a guy behind us in line dressed with a Sith dark robe and hood, and he looked alot like Mal from Firefly.  I told him this, and he said that his Girlfriend had introduced him to Firefly by showing him the pilot on DVD, less than a week prior.  She'd told him that Mal was alot more hansome than he was.  Later that year when "Serenity" hit theaters, I was joking with my Wife (again, Fiance at the time) that we could end up running into the same guy, now a total "Firefly" nut, dressed to the nines as Mal... didn't though.  Shame.

You'll still get your chance. Dress up like Darth Vader and hang around the front entrance of the cinema when the next Trek is to premiere, wearing a big sign that says "I hate trekkies". Y'know, Die-Hard 3 style.

I guarantee you nobody'd have the brass to jump you.

They're trekkies - they'd just shake their tricorders and possibly pens (from the top pocket of their immaculately pressed white shirts) at you.  After all, there's no toy weapon that can beat a lightsaber in a square go.

I dunno about the sign (that'd be sort of self-abuse TBH), but the opportunity is brilliant. :)
