It started out as the Icarus,but when I saw the newer better pics of the Icarus, i changed names.
That's cool and ....disturbing at the same time o_o  - Vasudan Admiral

Looks great, but to be a true the ferret it should be around half that size. Otherwise it's a light-medium fighter, and not a souped-up patrol fighter from hell :drevil:. IMO

Actually a Ferret should be probably a quarter her size.  In fact a ferret is too small for a normal human to really fly.  It was originally going to be the Icarus, but after seeing the new pictures of it at CIC, I decided to rename it.  Because I wanted to someday to the Icarus correctly and since Starman referred to it as Ferret mk II I decided to go with that... It was either that or a Pregant Ferret  :lol:

all fighters are big considering that they need to provide the pilot with atmosphere, have a jump coil (or the Freespace equivalent which I can't remember), and have the computer systems, the weapons systems that can be switched out, enough room for plenty of munitions, little maneuvering thrusters all around the ship.....that about covers it.

yea, fighters need to be big when they're in space....

The Ferret looks like an X-Wing with bent wings, and without half of the lower wings... I'd hate to fly up against one of those...

Wasn't the Wild Weasel a pre WC1 ship design from the novels?
About the design itself...looks very flat but I like it.
