Every time I load a mission - it seems only certain missions are succedible though - there is a chance the game will simply crash. The trouble is it does this every time I try the Raider Wars mission 3 so I can not play the campaign. I am using the 3.6.7. build because the 3.6.9. is apparently not supported. What can I do?

Use 3.6.9 Newer builds are supported, and even encouraged.

As for the crash... What kind of error message does it give you?

Thank you. It almost works now, exept for a few problems. First, I can not open the B5 - core file with the presented VP viewer. Do you know of any others?
And second, now every time I hit an enemy ship, the smoke is surrounded by black boxes. I used to have this effect on the normal FreeSpace as well and solved it by reinstalling the VP pack and using some patches. Now this is impossible with TBP so what can be done?

You're using VPView 2.0 Beta right? Try 1.3 if so. Never had a moment's problem with that.

I got those black boxes too. Even after installing all the correct  3.6.8 media vps and the patches too. Also gives off black boxes while in hyperspace including smoke details. I was told on the thread above that it is TBP that needs to tweek something to make it all work in 3.6.9

Which would probably happen in the 3.4 patch comming soon.
At least I get nice looking engine glows. Lol.

That is correct. The black box problem will be fixed in 3.4. Until then you must either tolerate them, or use some older build. Unfortunatley I don't remember which build introduced to black box blight...

It was RC2, so anything after June 11th will have the new alpha-blending effect and require proper image formats to not have the black boxes.
