I'd like to see a Colossus fight a Ravanna or any other vessel ...
Just for fun watching the fight as i hated not having time to watch teh capital ships wipe our each other due to me having to kill hundreds of enemy fighters and bombers, so:

How can i create a custom missions (just a single mission, not a cmpgn) i can select all fighters/bombers and weapons and let some some large ships fight some other ones.

What do i have to do to create such a mission?
Ne tutorials u know?
Software (Will need to run on Linux)?

FRED is everything you need,place ships and make their beams fire either with mission specs(if you're using FRED2 Open)or beam-free-all for every ship(FRED2).

However keep in mind,if you have played the main campaign only,that FreeSpace and FRED have limits.Putting hundreds of warships is impossible,this "mania" or simply the curiosity a FS fan has to re-create enormous battles is called "Battle Of Endor Syndrome".

uh, dude, notebook FREDing is hard as hell, for one. If he's a newb and asking for help to create a capship dogfight, he doesn't know how.

Know that if you want to make a simple capship fight, do not forget the beam-free-all on all capships involved! (Or else it will be pretty boring)
