Re: Slipstreaming Internet Explorer 7
You might want to check into whether SP2 includes Internet Explorer 6 SP1.

Re: Slipstreaming Internet Explorer 7
because it is easier to slip stream into than firefox.  ;7 But I am still reserving judgement on IE7 though. I have found a few bugs.

Yeah, I never really got what was so amazing about slipstreaming. I mean, can't you just install windows then go download firefox or opera or whatever floats your boat?

Mostly useful if your a sysadmin and you have something that isn't easily image-able.

Re: Slipstreaming Internet Explorer 7
Yah, I have gotten it to work. You will need the following.
A XP-SP2 CD. Doesn't matter if it is OEM or a pre-slipstreamed copy.
IE7 Download[From Microsoft]
RVMUpdatePack2.1.3[contains most updates since SP2. Does not contain the .net framework. Not sure if it is necessary]
Hot Fix KB892130 [Windows Genuine Advantage]
Blank CD-R
A software program Called NLite.

There is a bug I encountered. This method will make the Show Desktop Icon not in stall. Fixing this is easy as pie. If people are interested, I will post some more detailed instructions.

Because sometimes other applications embed it. And it's wise to patch all it's holes as a result.

Re: Slipstreaming Internet Explorer 7
Sometimes, honestly, for some, it doesn't matter. For others it does. It all depends. I like IE7s enhancements and don't want to bother dealing with having multiple browsers. God only knows how many damn application I have to deal with because of the SCP.
