Anyone know how to make a enter portal?
Need a picture with a salmon shark in it. And maybe a loading percentage in the middle of it. Can anyone help me with this. If you have any ideas post them here. With a picture or the idea. Thanks- eagleclaw

Portals are annoying, IMO. Why should I load 2 pages, when I can load one?

I think they're called "splashes" but either way I totally agree. I can see what the site is frigging called, I don't need a huge picture to tell me.

Why load one friggin' massive image while waiting for a (probably) smaller site to load?

Web design is not just a case of making the site pretty. If it takes more than 5 seconds to load on a real-world connection (not your gigabit LAN) it's too bloated. Form should follow function and should be as small as possible. Bandwidth is NOT an infinite resource.

In short, portals are just another waste of bandwidth, and hence, time.

Portal project is now cancelled. Thank you for the help everyone.
