Rat packs have improved since i started out, we now get  atin of "Heinz", actual BRAND name food, but sometimes you get an iffy mars bar which is White and can be used offensively in lieu of a Fighting knife being available.
Also they give you two loads of biscuits, Brown and Fruit, they taste like crap, possibly due to the [over estimated] 3000% fibre[/over estimated] content.  But one stops poop and one starts it off again with a vengeance.  any squaddie will tell ya on site cooking beats field rations ANY day
