From the Office of Black Wolf, Supervisory Administrator of Hard Light Productions: Declaration of Inauguration of New Leadership

Not so many years ago, Hard Light Productions was formed with a simple aim – to bring modders together. When considered in greater detail, however, it becomes apparent that this simple mantra was merely an umbrella statement that encompassed a range of more or less important beliefs, aims and mandates which would come to define the community. Central among these was the belief that a community could exist and thrive as a healthy social entity under the leadership of a select group of people, each chosen for their own unique skills and leadership abilities.

However, recent events, the details of which should be well known who all who read this, have proven this perhaps somewhat whimsical belief to be incorrect. Thus it is, with a heavy heart, that I must concede that this grand experiment has failed, and, in accordance with the sincere wiushes of the majority of the local populace, take the burden of leadership upon my own shoulders.

Clearly, the transfer of power will need to take place swiftly and cleanly, in order to minimize confusion and potential stress during any transitional phase of management. In order to further minimize the difficulty of the transition, I have decided not to eliminate the current structure of community governance, which has, until recently, performed admirably in its role. Rather, I will place myself into the role of Supervisory Administrator. My role will principally be one of policy setting – the day to day details of running the board will continue to be the duties of the current administration team until such time as new administrative policy can be defined and the situation reviewed

I hereby call upon all denizens of the board to be patient and courteous during the hopefully short transition period, and to prepare for a significantly brighter future, free from the troubles of the current era.
