From the Office of Black Wolf, Supervisory Administrator of Hard Light Productions: Clarification of the New Order

It has come to my attention that certain individuals have questioned the nature of the new order of things, and that there is a certain degree of trepidation among the members of the community. This was expected and is nothing to be ashamed of. The old, corrupt order has stood for some time, and any passage into the unknown is greeted with initial fear. I am issuing this proclamation, however, to calm the fears of those who may be troubled, and to reassure all members of the brighter future to come.

First, know that, at this point, no replacements of the present ruling strata are intended - initially. Nor is this, as it has been described, a coup or hostile takeover. This is a peaceful transfer of power in accordance with the will of the people from the current body of administration to myself, who’s role will be supervisory in nature. The correct term is supplemented authority

Moreover, know that I come not as a "tyrannical dictator" or as some fascist overlord. I am here to help the people, as I have attempted to do for many years in the past, working from the background, outside the realms of authority. However, recent events have shown that these methods are no longer effective, and that direct action is necessitated.

To those feigning ignorance, I say this - Your weak attempts to pretend that you have somehow failed to notice the momentous events of the past several weeks, or failed to comprehend the necessary outcomes of these events serves nobody, least of all yourself. I have no intention of humouring your pathetic lies by reciting the catalogue of troubles we all know too well.

To those who would defy the new order, I ask you to consider the consequences of your actions. Know that change is inevitable and, in this case, overwhelmingly for the better. We shall rise from these tumultuous events stronger before, and it is my sincere desire that all members of the forum join me in this great crusade.

Know, however, that no dissent, no discord, can be tolerated if the transfer of power is to be peaceful and efficient. We must not allow subversive elements to gain a foothold now, in this vulnerable time between administrations. Thus, I issue my second decree – in accordance with the clear will of the people, and desire for internal peace and security, I appoint Mefustae as head of the Hard Light Internal Peace and Security force. He and his officers will carry out the essential role of maintaining internal harmony during the transition period and, if necessary, into the initial period of the new order. His methods shall be left up to his discretion but will, assuredly, place the utmost respect upon those pillars of liberty and true justice. All those who have nothing to fear are now safer, and those who would seek to damage the community through dissent and scaremongering shall pay the consequences for their actions in defiance of the will of the people.
