I REALLY did try to install this acording to the directions, what's going wrong for me?

The contents of my debug file are below, and FS2 won't run.....

I've run the OpenALwEAX.exe several times but to no avail.

Can you help??

Well I see two possible problems.

1) You've got mediaVP files in two places. You should only have them in E:\games\freespace2\mediavps\
 Delete the ones in the main folder if they are the same as the ones in mediavps. (Otherwise report back and I'll tell you which set to delete).

2) The above isn't the cause of your problems but should be taken care of or it will bite you on the arse sooner or later. The actual cause of your problem is that OpenAL isn't initiating properly. Most likely candidate is that you still have old OpenAL drivers lurking on your system somewhere. this post

Thanks all - deleted all my OpenAL files and reinstalled - worked fine!
