Making Squadron logos

How the hell do i?  :confused: I have what i want, but i dont know how to make one.

You must make a PCX image (256-colours) sized 128x128. There is a hue of green that in the game is invisible, and this allows you to make the "shape." of your logo.
The logo must be in the "data\players\squads" folder.

Resize the second picture to 128x128. Where you want the logo to be transparent, you must put a certain shade of green (red: 0, green: 255, blue:0). The image must be in PCX format (unless with the source code upgrade it can be also in other formats).

If you can't make it, I can make it for you with Photoshop.

ok, i'll do that.


Edit:20 tries later, i'm cluesless.......... 

P.S. i cant get the pixels right either.. the width is just 1 ****in pixel smaller then the height.........

I had the same problem when I wanted to create some logos for STHCRS.

George,help this kid.

Because I have many things in common with TrashMan,I have DL his Insignia pack and....surprise!

I found the logos for MANY squadrons!

I just wanna use this logo........ i put it in the mission were it's supposed to be put on your fighter.... doesn't work........ i dont have pixels or transperency right yet....... i cant get it FRIGGIN RIGHT!!!!

the pixels are 129X128, but i did get most of the backround to go green! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: i took out the words, i messed them up. but i cant get the logo to appear ingame..... how do i set it to 256 colors dammit!?!

It depends.

I'm not so expert in logos.

You have to create a campaign where th eplayer uses that logo...
I don't know if you can have logos even in single missions...

Use paint. You can get the size perfect, then save the pic as 256 color. That is, after you create it in Photoshop, :ick: ,InDesign.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............. i'm 11, the only thing i really know about freespace is how to play and how to FRED, and thats just about all i've done on my computer for the past year.........

I don't know why Mobius posted the Italian translation, but anyway...
I'll attach you a zip which contains a blank logo. That should resolve most of your problems.
