You can get them in the MediaVPs.

MediaVPs are part of the FreeSpace Open Installer (Link in my sig.)

I already have the SCP installed and i heared there should be much better models as in the SCP.

If you have the mediaVPs, it should look better.

Extract all files from mv_zpack.zip, mp-710_effects.rar, and mp-710_models.rar into a new folder called mediavps inside your FreeSpace 2 folder (if you think your computer can handle the higher-end visual effects, extract mv_adveffects.zip and mp-710_adveffects.rar into this folder as well.)

If you're not seeing better ships it could be cause you've not set up the launcher correctly. Run the SCP launcher and go to the mod tab. Press select mod then choose mediavps. That will activate the new graphics.
